Why do you want to use flowchart in your mobile interface design and screen design?
Why? so things go step by step, just like, you need to access to "Message", then you can only choose new message, sent message... something like categorize. If things are not categorize, can you expect seeing "Message", "Inbox", "Connectivity", "Bluetooth"...etc. in just your menu list???
Another ex. what will you think that, if you go to a restaurant, open d menu, mwahahah... there are nasi lemak, mee hun soup...blah...but there arent any title to categorize them? Ah ha! it became a hide and seek game to choose ur food!
Flowchart let things go in order, in form! Help us to see things simple, clear, and in order = wont be confuse =)
Same goes to screen design, impossible to put all the contents on the desktop, it will be confusing, might take time to find the files you want! so, if there is flowchart, you just can simply click on "Start" or "My Computer", then go into details...see~ how flowchart can easy ones job!
BTW, flowcharts help you save your time. Just list out all the things that u want to do. Its better den go and do urself 1st. Example, write a script 1st or act 1st? OFCOURSE script 1st= =! so u can change easily! and predict what problem you might face 1st!

See above~ using flowchart in mobile interface design and screen design do help us save a lot of time, make things organized, simple and clear!
Saving time, make things fast, simple and clear, SURE will help anyone to meet the interactive goals!
so it is very important since everyone loves simple, things that can communicate with us easily! so only have people wants the things that you produce =3 if not no one wants to use your design XD! unless there are someone that goes crazy, loves things without organize (flowchart)! probably no one =D Mwahahahaha....

haha...i like your examples that you use others things in our own life to represent the flowchart, can make us more knw about it and clear about it. ya, flowchart can save up a lot of time as everyone knows that, so we need to use flowchart before we started our interface design....mean we have to do flowchart before we do our mobile and screen interface????(omg) hahahaha..tats all...haha

in fact, 1 thing...im kinda disagree....... flow chart doesnt really "categorize" "something". erm.how shoud i say...flow chart does help us to have a better view of understanding what is the next step , what is the problem, what is the problem now , what is the solution for this that, should i do this, what if i do that do this and so on... it seems like requires us to Think "what and what if"..
maybe flow chart can "Categorize" something well such as ...while meeting at a decision point, flow chart now might can categorize into 2 or 3...maybe that's the possibility of doing something else, then can categorize into wat wat wat...n wat wat wat..then expand it to next step n problems...in fact, flow chart does really make things in order and projects/folders can be organized well..=)
